We have a Cardinal that loves when I water the garden. He always flys to that branch on the tree and even dives through the water. ๐Ÿ’™

Its Spring planting time! We filled the first raised bed with a variety of lettuce, herbs, and brassicas. I love this time of year ๐ŸŒฑ

I took advantage of a local plant sale to finally repurpose this antique bathtub I've had for about 5 years. I chose Salvia for my "thrillers" and Dichondra for my "fillers" now, I just need to choose my "spillers". Any suggestions?

We're about 2 weeks late starting our Fall garden but it's still plenty warm enough here that it's OK.

I saved these containers from our Costco muffins. They make the perfect greenhouse for seed starting and we used Organic Coconut Coir for our seed starting medium. (Link in bio) We are not sponsored by Burpee. We just really love their organic products!

These seeds are all from either or

We love both seed companies for their varieties and excellent germination rates.

We love Fall gardens ๐Ÿงก - brassicas, lettuces, planting garlic, potatoes, onions, etc.. Not only is the food delicious but the cooler temps make working in the garden more pleasant. As an added bonus there tends to be less garden predators (like SVBs) in the Fall too. ๐ŸŒฑ

Are you growing anything this Fall?

Meet Charlotte!

Our beautiful, resident Argiope Spider (aka Zipper Spider or Writing Spider).

She showed up 2 weeks ago and has been happily guarding my tomatoes ever since. ๐Ÿ…

Argiope Spiders are a sign of a healthy ecosystem. Their beautiful webs are sewn together with a "zipper" (zig-zag) in the middle.
