6.5 hours of horse trims with no break in the dead heat is the day. The heat today was brutal and I almost couldn’t finish the last horse. I kept cramping up so bad that my hands would lock around my tools. I drank over 15 bottles of water and I havnt had a soda in over 1.5 years. I love fruits and veggies but have been slacking in eating healthy lately.

Milo and I took showers and now laying in bed to lick our wounds from todays ass whooping ( he wasn’t happy about the bath). Waiting on mama to get home so we can watch vampire diaries lol

I wanted to go to the bull riding event tonight at TW Arena but there is no way I can handle a 2 hour drive.

Stay hydrated fam, I learned my lesson today.

This is extremely sad. This horse was abandoned next to my office in Houston. The Houston SPCA has already been out and will remove the horse today. I brought it a bale a good quality hay and water twice. Major issue to its right leg and at least 300 pounds under weight.

I will keep up with this horses future and hopefully help find a person to adopt it once the SPCA has possession and it get the vet care it needs ASAP!

Hello everyone! Milo and I just out shopping for some new high calorie feed for our mama horse that is finally losing her baby belly from her last breeding. And yes, Milo also talked me in to getting him some treats lol

Spent a couple hours today with Clover and mama Breeze. She is so fun to be around.

Well last night as we laid our heads down to go to sleep we got a call that we didn’t expect to get yet. Breeze went in to labor and quickly had a beautiful foal!!

Everyone please meet our St Patty day baby, “Clover”

She is so friendly and beautiful, with one white sock and a sea shell white marking on her head.

Went and visited our mama horse (Breeze) this evening. We got to spend some time loving on her but she was ready to go back out to pasture. I think she’ll be giving birth within the next 30 days or so, but I’m no expert.

Went to feed Slots today after work and saw he was limping. Well he still gives us a lot of problems in catching and harnessing him. So after roping him and getting his harness on, we gave him a little sedation to get a thorough examination. Well look like an abscess, crack hoof through the white line, etc.. No puss or bad smell so I cleaned it out, trimmed up his foot and treated it. Next step is to soak it in salt water solution.

I didn’t take an after photo after treatment but you can see how easy a horse can be fine one day and hurt the next.

I tell you goats are so much fun. Lily sent us a photo of the baby goat inside the hay barn with his mama lol they got in through a hole on the backside.
