Happy Monday to our marvelous friends , followers , and fans. May the coming week be a great one for yall as we celebrate the end of infernal August here in South Texas. As the heat tempers we look forward , over eagerly to this fall, bring it on.

Would also like to thank our customers both in town and at the farm. Lots of US beef moving right out of the on farm market at Knolle Dairy Farms, Sandia Texas . Looks like Trumps announcement of making foreign beef great again is having a really positive boost for local beef producers. He is stimulating farm to table USA beef sales just about as effectively as Obama stimulated gun sales. Crazy world.

Had a very interesting follow up to report on a survey we conducted earlier this year. We have been keeping an eye on our groundwater at the farm as it is very close to the massive groundwater mining operation underway by the City of Corpus Christi. Well it looks that we are seeing a drop in our water table here at the farm. After all over 80% of milks composition is water , and we need high quality water to produce high quality grass fed milk. Please keep in mind that our wells have been at the same levels for many , many years and we have abstained from irrigating during this survey period ,just usuall operations and the blessings of both timely and beneficial rains. Here is what we found.

The well we have been monitoring closest to Sandia ( 12 " deep irrigation well) up on the hill at the goat field has a measured drop in the water level. On 3/19/26 we measured 65'11" and on 8/29/26 we measured 67'8". This is a drop of 1 foot 9 inches during that time.

Closer to the old number 6 barn we have a monitor well ( old 8" deep irrigation well ) that also has dropped. It's about 3 miles to the east of the first well closer to the river but still to the west of CR360. 3/19 measurement was 29'6" and last weeks observation was 32'4" . This is a drop in the water table of 2'10" during this period.

Our third well is located very close to the Nueces river and is about half a mile away from the number 6 well, closer to the east. This well initially measured 20'6" and the new observation is 28'11". That's a drop of 8'5" during the observation period, almost halfway to a joint of pipe !

Folks this is disturbing to see this happening in a very short period of time. These massive pumping operations have repeatedly been pushed as temporary and emergency actions that would not affect surrounding groundwater wells. It has been stated by both our retread politicians and paid experts that there would not be any harmful ramifications from these activities. These pumping operations may be in fact parasitic in nature if they are pulling down adjacent or distant groundwater tables. We plan on keeping an eye on these water levels but we urge rural landowers in this area to monitor your levels too. If we are seeing a drop in level how long before we can expect to see a change in quality. May be time to recheck yalls initial tds numbers to see of they are changing too.

Howdy and happy Friday to our amazing friends fans and followers, hope yall have had a great week surviving the heat. Really looking forward to the fall, let's get it , quick. Milk sold out at Knolle Dairy Farms, Sandia Texas our next production run will be this Saturday. We have some awesome panela on the shelf and we will be making a batch of quesadilla today.

We have had a lot of calls on the following matter and its burning up a lot of phone time so here it is and here you go. Almost starting to miss the " why dobt yall sell raw milk " question . Hope this covers all the questions, can we just mooooove on , please.

This is not us.

One of our commercial hunters brought this to our attention , and the pasture to the South of us down at the Nueces has just been listed. Just in this county we loose 1% of our row crop land a year however and typically these type of transactions are how it happens. This however is in Western Nueces county so we're really watching this closely out of fear that this could wind up in the hands of the city for another well field. It's in the area where it could happen and frankly would not be too suprised of it did the way things have been going lately. You never know what that merry band of bandits will get there paws on next.

People are asking how we feel about this and it took a bit to digest. It's hard to see the land leave the family , but the reality of this is acceptance that it left the family when Ed and the rest of that generation passed away a long time ago. Once again, this is not us. We are not of blood relation to the group that ownes this particular land although they operate using our family name on almost every buisness venture , venue, or subdivision stamped with our name , it's almost like the merchandising for the spaceballs sequel or something. So they are not family even as weird as that sounds , they are just the people that wound up with some of our families land. We are not " entitled " to it, this is still the free world after all, and they are entitled to do whatever brings them top dollar.

The eventuality Is that all of this land will be sold , condemned, or developed .or outright seized in the future. The unrestrained growth of the Corpus Christi industrial base puts all area land at risk. Just read when a new plant is going in on farm land across the river. Whether its hi pressure gas pipeline easements for the ports export LNG operations , to rural groundwater depletion to float the unsustainable thirst for it , to 765 KV utility easements to fuel new data centers, pick your poison , there are definitely sharks swimming and blood is in the water . This is the way things will happen.

Land leaving historical agricultural production is the new norm.This is the trend nationally and why should we expect for anything else to happen here. The future generations are not going to put in the work required for the most part as more lucrative career paths await them. It is widely accepted that we will continue to rely more heavily on third world nations to keep us fat, fed , and happy. Just check your hamburger meat if you have any doubts about that.

It's great to hear that this 70 acres is only bieng offered at 14k an acre putting it almost within reach for most smaller cow calf operators. Just about as affordable as 5 buck diesel. Want to make sure that buyers realize they are buying directly adjacent to a TCEQ Large CAFO , look it up . We operate a honey wagon from time to time. Just want to make sure folks realize that they are looking to buy in next to the last grass fed dairy farm left in this part of the United States. Dont call yapping about the smell of cows and things like that. While it would be great if thier were the next generation in place to pass this down too , however ideal situations just dont exist everywhere, especially now. At least there is a possibility that it could be kept in agriculture so there is that right ? That would be a lot better than more dollar generals or ranchitos ( but.if dg is looking for a long term lease call us , will get you right on the fence.)

So amigos get ready , it's going to be a great hunting season. No more worries about what the future may bring for the wildlife in the area, the tale is bieng told as more land is sold. Let's not dwell on the past as we hunt down opportunities into the future, shock and awe. Please do not hesitate to call us for your hunting needs down there , from whitetail to whitewing and year round hog hunting, when in doubt let's thin them out. This fall is going to be a BLAST.

We hope yall have had a great week. The wait is almost over. As a few recent visitors found out we have been sold out of milk. Apologies but we had someone vacate a postion without notice right as we were just shutting down the tractors from harvest, and it's been non stop ever since, heavy work load increase placed on a few folks at the expense of the plant but we have pushed through, even made a batch of panela yesterday with the help of a retired biker executive to boot, too much craziness to even describe on how all of this comes together. You may not believe us if we told you! Our prayer in these times is just for us to recieve the blessings we need , when we need them and somehow it comes together with a pile of precerverance. Faith keeps it flying.

We are getting caught back up and milk is ready to run in the packer this morning. Running out the door at 5 to round up the girls and as soon as we can get cleaned up and in the plant , we are ready to roll. We expect our grass fed milk to be available at the farm by noon. If we can mobilize for the run to the thirsty city we will update here. Happy throwback Thursday amigos. Check out this old blast from the past. This was during some of the releases at the Nueces after a big rain event over 10 years ago. Lot healthier fresh water river system back then. We put the old majek into action for a run down to the river to survey the situation with Al that day. No wait at the boat ramp when you pull in with a tractor. These events really wreck fencing,but that's how the river flows during large releases. Look at all that water! Lots of critters displaced down there during the event. Have to keep a careful watch for everything from debris to swimming snakes. Crazy stuff to see but guess that's what make us " river people", lots to see and appreciate, great day on the water.

Sure like to get that old 23 running again too , it's a great farm boat, just needs power and a toolbox. Old school, lots of wood.

Good morning amigos , we hope all are staying nice and cool, somewhere out of the sun. Dont forget to clean your coils , anything you can do to squeeze the last 2% out of your ac right now is gold. This August inferno is grinding on , and we are about over it out here. Another thing we are over is silage. We have our forage based cow chow in the pit for our girls . Clean home grown feed and no Glysophate in that pile. Here are a few more random pics from our harvest adventure this year.

Clip one , pushing up in the pit. Have a blade we drop on the old challenger when we do this, not optimal but it can push up a lot of feed easily into the pile. Slow is fast here, accidents are always possible in silos. Steep slopes, unstable surfaces, the works keep ya on your toes. This year we had a big bee hive behind the panels so delicate operations were required there to keep them chill, dont bump the wall with the blade!

Pic 2 from the field the 7 way forage blend knocked it out of the park for us. Hard to believe this combination with so much tonnage drops in a lot of protein AND also nourished the soil by fixing atmospheric nitrogen at the same time. Regenerate that land while we provide feed for the herd.

Clip 3 another cave in on the Kinder Morgan easement tweaks , bends and strains our old equipment. With those top heavy buggies, those sudden collapses will get your attention pronto.

Pic 4 sometimes you get a sinking feeling when your looking at your fields over that dangerous easement. When we first cut in the machine chocked as one side was driven into the ground , well when we backed up boom., we felt the collapse. Walking out to find it on a mat of laid down crop is almost like a Bobbie trap pit, crazy to think these types of projects actually INCREASE your market value for the land , or at least that's what the Jim Wells County Appraisal District thinks.

Pic 5 back to the pit but now running that old IT28 just to roll pack. Up and down, up and down roll till firm until you cant roll no more. Happy to get out of the operators station for a while.

Hope yalls customers are fully aware of how yall roll, or roll over landowers wildlife ,cattle , wildlife and land. Better energy for yall while your bleeding out anyone in your path.

Howdy and Happy Saturday to our amazing friends fans and followers. We are looking forward to our last day in the field ( hopefully ) today!

Clip one was coming into the ditch field and looking at how tall and thick the 7 way forage blend grew. Making great tonnage but it's taking a lot to chop and with the equipment dropping into alot of unmarked hazards, it's all taken a beating.

Pic 2 what's wrong with this ? Give you a hint it was very obvious when it happened. Just too many jolts going through the cave ins, need a Ukranian forage harvester for these type of field conditions. Thinking we can import them and market them as field rated for Kinder Morgan Easment conditions !

Clip 3 planting this same field in April after working up the land and it was as flat as a pancake. Crazy how much can change in under 90 days .

Were heading out to get wrapped up today and felling good we are clear of the worse. Kind of like planning your fishing trip around 2 to 3 s and you get out there and its 4 to 6 but the fish are biting , what do you do ? You load up the box and that's exactly how were going to wrap up and enjoy the ride back in.

On farm market at Knolle Dairy Farms, Sandia Texas open all day for self serve. In the case fresh milk , quesadilla , a little aged manchego dill , and a few tubs left of our cultured cream grass fed butter !
