It's time to enroll in 4H!
4H is a program that allows kids to learn life, leadership, and practical skills through hands-on projects. Patch Wood is home to the Sandown Hooves, Paws, and Claws 4H club! We're known best by our spring rescue project, where we go to the auction as a club to rescue a horse and spend our spring/summer rehabbing them. We also do plenty in the colder months like organizing fundraisers, helping out at Patch Wood events, and learning new skills!
We are welcoming new members ages 5-18.
If you're interested in joining 4H, reach out to [email protected] for more information!

Stable Strength is coming to Patch Wood Farm!
November 7th from 1-3pm. Message us for more information or to reserve your spot.

Join for a fun, small group clinic focused on building stability, mobility and balance both in the saddle and out. This clinic is a great opportunity to learn simple exercises that can help you feel stronger, more balanced and more confident with your riding.

No riding experience needed so bring your non farm friends along too ;)

We are so happy to share that Miss Daisy, our 4-H Project of 2026, has officially found her forever home with our wonderful leader, Carissa!

From the very beginning, Daisy has held a special place in our hearts. We quickly realized that she needs a little extra care and attention, making her adoption a bit more complicated than we had hoped. But thankfully, Daisy’s story has the sweetest ending.

She will be heading home with Carissa where she can enjoy her days surrounded by love, care, and all the attention she deserves. We couldn’t be happier for this special girl!

We are already looking forward the Hooves, Paws and Claws 2027 rescue project!

Meet our 2026 4H rescue project, Daisy!

Daisy is an older Shetland pony our 4H club rescued from auction this spring. She’s a quick learner who loves a good neck scratch and would thrive as a companion pony with kids to dote on her. Daisy can live with mares or geldings and is generally easy to get along with.

Our 4H club knew Daisy had been neglected when we rescued her, but we didn’t realize how much care she would need. We are so happy we were able to give her a safe landing and are now hoping to find her one in a million home, someone who understands her needs and wants to give an older pony a safe, loving place to land. She does require some maintenance.

Small adoption fee with contract. Would also be open to a stay adoption at our farm.
