By the RoadSide Firewood & flowers from our family to yours — local, reliable, and grown by the roadside. By the Roadside started with firewood and a pickup truck in 2019.

Since then, we’ve kept homes warm, grown roots, and blossomed into a USDA-certified flower farm in 2025. We’re a family-owned, community-driven business serving Richmond and the surrounding counties — offering everything from firewood bundles to flower bouquets, grown and gathered with care. Stop by. Say hi. By the roadside, there’s always something beautiful waiting.

The crew puts a lot of work into getting firewood from our yard to your home, and it means so much when someone takes the time to give them a little recognition. 🤎🪵

Thank you for this thoughtful review and to our delivery crew for representing By The Roadside so well. We’re proud of you!

Derrick’s filling the stand, and somewhere someone’s planning a fire tonight. 🪵🤎

As the colder days bring more visitors to our stands, scheduling a pickup is an easy way to have one less thing on your list. Choose your firewood and an available pickup time online, then plan your day around what works for you. 🍂

A little planning now, a cozy evening later.

Virginia has us turning on the AC one day and reaching for a blanket the next 😂🍂

Don’t let these 80° and 90° days fool you into thinking fall isn’t here! One minute you’re wearing shorts, and the next you’re saying, “We should’ve ordered firewood.” 🔥

A little heads-up as you make your plans: we’ll be closed on Halloween, October 31, so get your wood ahead of time for those Halloween bonfires! 🎃

And you don’t have to wait until you need it to get on our schedule. Our website lets you schedule your delivery in advance. Think Thanksgiving with the family, Christmas by the fireplace, and a New Year’s fire with friends. You can even plan ahead for February and March, in case Virginia decides to surprise us with snow. ❄️

We can’t predict what this weather will do, but having your firewood ready is one less thing to worry about. Stack it now, enjoy it later. 🪵🔥

Pick your wood, choose your delivery date, and let us handle the heavy lifting!
