🚙🛻🚗 Reminder to not line up until 7 am!! If you are blocking Campbell Rd before 7 am, you will be asked to leave and your "spot" will not be saved.

🍎 Free Pop Up Pantry Food distribution on Tuesday October 20th at the Sanilac Transportation Building. Volunteers please arrive around 9 am and we hope to begin distribution around 10 am.

🥔 Please register, if you can, by texting SAND to 866-474-3663. It will respond with a link for you to register and answer 13 questions. At the end, it will show the date and time- take a screen shot of that! Each household must have a registration screen shot dated for this Pop Up Pantry. You may deliver for a friend or family- each vehicle may pick up for max of four households but each one must be registered.

🥬 We do not have an official sponsor for this food truck and are trying to arrange funding to finish out the year. If you know of a business or organization that would be able to help cover the costs of a food truck this fall, please let them know of our need. Changes coming!!!
With the time change soon as well as colder months upon us, we will be implementing some changes at the Pop Up Pantries to address some issues we have been having with poor visibility and inattentive drivers. We want safety all around for you, our guests, and for our volunteers as well.

We will be lining up vehicles with a turn down Thelma St now, instead of all the way down Campbell Rd past the daycare and apartments. Maps will be shared several times before our next Pop Up so hopefully people will get an idea of what it will look like.

Also, BIG CHANGE- DO NOT LINE UP BEFORE 7 AM!!! I will ask you to leave and not return until 7 am and YOUR SPOT WILL NOT BE SAVED!!!! There is no reason to be there before 7 am.
1. Sitting in the dark, half way on the road, is a danger for visibility for people going to work and busses to school.
2. Sitting in the dark and cold drains your battery and gas. We had several instances last winter with vehicles and are being proactive for this winter.
3. Or if you turn off your vehicle, you are getting cold.
4. I guarantee the boxes are the same if you lined up at 5 am vs lining up at 7 am.

So to recap, due to an accident last week, poor visibility, inattentive drivers, weather and overall safety- DO NOT line up before 7 am and do not go all the waydown Campbell Rd. Hopefully, it will only take one Pop Up for everyone to understand and readjust.

A big thank you to Bill Angerbrandt and team at Farm Bureau for sponsoring our Pop Up Pantry yesterday. We served over 800 people yesterday!

We know there are many concerns regarding produce these days. Here is a handy guide to help you wash or chose your produce differently during this time of extra caution. Be vigilant, wash items thoroughly.

Next Pop Up is Wednesday July 29th sponsored by a grant from Thumb Community Health Partnership. Advertising and registration info will be circulating next week.

So thankful for our new wagons from Applegate Lions! They come in so handy to serve our community at our Pop Ups. We are blessed to work with Lori Lentz as one of our faithful volunteers month after month!!

Here we see Cheryl Powell accepting a $200 donation from us. Cheryl represents the Sanilac Food Pantry with Michigan House of Hope. The donation will be used to buy wagons that are used to transport food to and from vehicles and buildings. Rich Cochrill is presenting the check.
