Let's weave some magic together! Join me at the Sandwich Home Industries on August 11&12th for a two-day adventure in rigid heddle loom weaving. This is a two-tier class, for the very beginner's intro to plain weave, and providing the novice/intermediate weaver with new techniques in the the Log Cabin pattern. Recipe for fun at the Farm with Five Days of Sandwich campers:
- Gather wool from the sheep fleeces on Mondays.
- Simmer wool in natural dyes.
- Add a dash of curiosity, a pinch of lore and history, and sprinkles of laughter.
- Combine patience, hand carding and drop spindle practice.
- Finish with a garnish of needle felting on Wednesdays!

We used our hand-dyed wool to create sculptures of our native birds. Many thanks to Patsy Frasier for the needle felting instruction!

So much magic happened at the 2026 Friends and Fiber Retreat!

It's been just 48 hours, and we have achieved flock cohesion! Farm collie Thomas helped misses Daisy Mae & Juniper settle in, their constant companion. And our wether Ringo is absolutely devoted to them as well. When they bleat, he answers immediately, and he won't let them out of his sight.

Miss Layla and her luscious locks! Her multitonal romney fleece - after skirting and picking - is a whopping 6.5 pounds of 'OoohLaLa'! The staple length is 7 inches, and it's super soft. This is going to be a dream to spin!
