In the mid 60s this tractor was bought by the town of Newtown and placed in service Middle Gate School where it spent years mowing and plowing snow. Strangely the same school my Dad and I attended

Years later it was sold at auction and passed through several owners and finally to me. After a huge mechanical undertaking she is ready to go to work. This tractor is the perfect size for mowing between my tree seedlings

The Farmall cub is perhaps one of the most iconic tractors ever produced with over 240,000 built and I am lucky to have this one

Tanker 557 is out today running water to help out one of our local farmers and SHVFD member . We are always glad to help our farmers when needed.

After some careful consideration I decided to plant some Christmas trees on one sunny field.  Behind me are 500 trees all ready to thrive. With several varieties there will be a beautiful selection in a few years. Planting trees is hard work but rewarding at the same time.

Did inspections on the bees today to ensure they are producing brood and growing the hives. They also got feed to keep them going until a nectar flow. Bee feed is sugar and water mixed until it becomes a syrup consistency.

2026 bee have been set and ready to get to work. While it’s cold and snowy I ordered my bees. When they get picked up from the distributer they’re usually very much ready to get to work. When they are picked up there is a can of syrup to keep them alive in transit.
Last weekend I set the bees and queens. In strong hives and weather dependent the Queen is out of her cage usually within a week.
Fast forward to this weekend checked all the hives and took the Queen cages out because all the queens are out and working. All the hives got extra space for them to grow as the weather gets nicer and flowers are starting to grow
It’s going to be a great year as the season starts to get warmer
