There’s a whole lot more to this picture than just an old pond getting cleaned up. ❤️

This is my Papaw Dallas Fannin’s old pond. I grew up right here—fishing it, playing around it, and making the kind of memories you don’t realize mean so much until you get a little older.

Over the last few years, the pond had taken a real turn for the worse, and I finally decided it was time to bring it back to the way Papaw built it. So I called my friend and family, Billy Lewis, and turned him loose on it.

I couldn’t be happier with the job he did. This isn’t the first pond Billy has done for me, and I’ll tell you—he’s a bad man 😉 on a dozer. He took something that means a whole lot to our family and brought it back to life.

One of the best parts of all was seeing how happy Papaw was to see his pond looking like it used to again. That alone made every bit of it worth it.

But seeing my son’s face light up over it hit me a little differently too. In a lot of ways, I did this for him. I was about his age when I was running around these same hills, fishing this same pond and making memories with my family. Now he gets to do the same—and Papaw gets to be here to watch another generation enjoy something he built all those years ago. ❤️

I’m grateful to have my own little slice of heaven right here on some of my old stomping grounds. There’s something pretty special about raising your kids on the same ground that helped raise you.

I just hope I can take care of it, do justice to what Papaw started, and maybe even leave it a little better for my boy one day.

Now we just need some water and some fish. 🎣❤️

“How is your beef finished?” is one of the questions we receive most often, and we’re always happy to answer it.

Our cattle are pasture-raised and grain-finished.

That means they are raised on pasture, then receive grain during the finishing stage. We choose this method because it helps produce the marbling, tenderness, flavor and consistency our customers expect from our beef.

We never want to hide behind confusing labels or use popular terms simply because they sound good. We would rather tell you exactly how our cattle are raised so you can make the choice that feels right for your family.

Our beef is also USDA inspected, with no mRNA vaccines, growth implants, added growth hormones or routine antibiotics. Vaccinations are limited to protection against serious diseases that could devastate a herd.

Knowing your farmer means being able to ask questions—and receiving an honest answer 🤍

I woke up feeling especially grateful this Monday morning 🤍✨

After a busy weekend filled with local deliveries, we’re back at it for another shipping day. I couldn’t let the morning pass without saying thank you.
