🐢 New Digs for the Box Tortoises at Harmony Acres! 🐢
While they look like miniature tanks, these land-loving guys are full of personality and deserve the very best. We’ve just finished a massive upgrade to their habitat to give them a true farm-to-shell experience! We still have a few adjustments for thier new habitat, but for now they are loving the new digs!

Big news comes in small shells! 🐢✨
We are so excited to introduce the newest members of the Harmony Acres family: three beautiful Box Tortoises!
These little ones have been busy exploring their new home and settling into the farm life. We’ve got:
💙 One handsome male
💖 Two lovely females
The only thing missing? Names! We’d love for our Harmony Acres community to help us out.
Drop your best name suggestions in the comments below! Should we go for a “trio” theme (like Snap, Crackle, and Pop), nature-inspired names, or something totally unique?
Can’t wait to see what you all come up with! 👇

Help! My Goat Thinks She’s a Grocery Clerk 🐐🛒
Meet Ella. Ella is a bottle baby. Ella has zero boundaries.
If you’ve ever raised a bottle baby goat, you know the struggle: they don’t think they’re goats—they think they’re humans! From “helping” put away the groceries to thinking the kitchen is their personal playground, the struggle is real.
While it’s cute when they’re 10 lbs, it’s a whole different story when they’re full-grown and jumping on your counters.
Anyone else living with a goat who has “main character” energy? Share your stories below! 😂

We are so excited to share this experience with you all!!! Pm us to book, or if you have any questions! 💕🐐

It takes a village (or a herd!) at Harmony Acres. 🐐❤️

Montana (our sweet Monty) has been an incredible mama since her triplets—two girls and one boy—arrived on March 27th. While her heart is huge, her milk supply just hasn’t been quite enough for three hungry babies.
To make sure our “tiny-but-mighty” runt girl gets everything she needs, we’ve stepped in to help. We’re milking some of our other amazing mamas here at the farm to supplement a feeding or two a day for her. 🍼✨
Isn’t it amazing how the whole herd helps raise a baby? Drop a “❤️” to cheer on our little girl (and her “auntie” goats for the extra milk!).

A Little Update on Our Fighter ❤️
We wanted to share some incredible news: Girlfriend is doing amazing! After that heavy day at Harmony Acres last week, we weren’t sure what the road to recovery would look like, but this girl has the heart of a lion.
It hasn’t been easy—we’ve been doing bandage changes every 2–3 days to keep everything sterile, and we are finally at the point where her stitches are coming out! It’s such a relief to see those deep wounds finally scabbing over and closing up. Watching her body knit itself back together is a daily reminder of how resilient these animals are.
We still have a long recovery road ahead to make sure she’s 100% healed and safe from any setbacks, but she’s officially out of the “ER” (aka our bathtub) and soaking up the love.
We are still so grateful for Linzy’s fast drive and Morgan’s nursing—Girlfriend is living proof of what happens when a community steps up. She might be small, but she is mighty!
Thank you all for riding this rollercoaster and sending those healing vibes. They are working! 🦃✨

Congratulations, Brooklyn!
It is a big day on Harmony Acres! Here is a summary of the journey Brooklyn and her new little guy have just completed, all in one place for you:

The Big Arrival

Brooklyn did the hard work of active labor, moving from the “diving position” (front hooves and nose first) to a successful delivery. Once he hit the ground, Brooklyn immediately stepped into “mom mode,” licking him clean to stimulate his breathing and bond with his unique scent.

Brooklyn’s To-Do List;

The Energy Boost: Brooklyn is likely exhausted. Giving her plenty of fresh water and high-quality hay is key.

The Bond: You’ll notice her using a specific low, rumbling grunt—that’s her special voice just for her boy.

Aftercare: She should pass the placenta within a few hours of the birth to complete the process.

The Little Buckling’s First To-Do List:

The First Meal: His most important task was getting that first dose of colostrum (mother’s milk). This provides the essential antibodies he needs to stay healthy.

Finding His Legs: Within the first hour, he should be standing and nursing. A wagging tail is the best sign that he’s successfully getting milk!

Growth: In the coming days, he’ll alternate between long naps and sudden bursts of “popcorn” jumping as he finds his energy.

Congratulations again to Brookie! We’re so glad to hear that Brooklyn and her new baby boy are doing great. Enjoy those tiny goat antics!

It was a heavy, raw day at Harmony Acres yesterday, but it’s in the “bad” days that you really see the strength of your community.
Our sweet turkey hen, Girlfriend, had a rough time during mating and ended up severely overbred with deep open wounds. We had to move fast to save her.
A massive, heartfelt thank you to Linzy—she lives an hour away but didn’t hesitate to jump in her car and rush over the second we called. Having that kind of support when things get scary means the world.
We had to get creative with our setup, so we transitioned the goat milk stand into a makeshift medical table. It worked perfectly to keep her steady while we worked. And a huge thank you to Morgan for stepping up as our nurse; her support and extra hands were exactly what Girlfriend needed.
After some stitches and a round of antibiotics, Girlfriend is now resting in the house in the bathtub where we can keep her clean and safe. As we don’t want any fly strike getting to that big wound!
Days like today are exhausting, but they remind us that at Harmony Acres, we’re never in this alone.
Send some healing vibes to Girlfriend—she’s a fighter! 🦃❤️
