If February weather ever decides to go back to February we should start seeing Shiitake mushrooms appear from the logs.

With temperatures starting to rise we will soon see the pins on the Shiitake Logs giving us the best gift, fresh Shiitake mushrooms for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Get your log today and enjoy this years first flush of shiitake. For each inch in diameter of your log you get 1 year of production, ie; 5" diameter log will give you 4-5 years of Shiitake mushrooms production 2 -3 times a year. Each flush can last from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on water supply and temperatures.

Our logs make great Christmas gifts and we ship to anywhere in the USA. Each log is 11" long and will produce for at least 3 years. Nutritious and delicious!!!

This warmer than normal weather is giving the logs perfect pinning weather. Won't be long now and fresh shiitake, yum!!!!

It was a great week, first we spoke to the Estacada Garden Club and spoke of the wonders of the Shiitake Mushroom, then Sunday a wonderful group of people came for a Fungi Farm tour. I do hope they were not disappointed as we are a very small family run business so we do not have thousands of logs or a big barn full of them. It is a much more personal business. Thanks again for letting us tell you about Shiitake.

Shiitake does not like this cold weather and all pins that showed up during the warmer weather have stopped until that warm weather returns to the foothills.
