Real food has bugs. It's just a fact.

The consequences of society's attempt to live in a sterile environment are becoming more and more apparent.

In an attempt to avoid pesky bugs, germs, and weeds, we're harming the soil, the water, the pollinators, our food, and ourselves.

If the bugs don't even want it, should we really be feeding it to our families?

The bugs went after one of these cabbages, and left the others alone. So I let them. The chickens got a nice snack, and I got some beautiful, nutritious heads of cabbage to turn into sauerkraut. I paid my garden tax, peeled a few layers of leaves off the rest, and everyone is happy.

Our farm is an ecosystem. Every decision we make affects the rest of the system.

We are the stewards of our land, and what we do matters. By spending your dollars on farms who steward their land responsibly and use organic practices, you are making a difference.
