Jace is 16 years old and has absolutely zero interest in chickens, winged animals, animal life, or honestly being outside when it’s hot. If you see him outside helping with the chickens, just know it was likely forced labor… and labor nonetheless. 😂

While he may not love the animal life, he is hands down the biggest supporter of his little sisters. He cheers the loudest, stands the tallest, and never misses a chance to remind them how proud he is of them and how great they’re doing.

At the end of the day, that’s all I could ever ask for. 💜

Meet Charlotte 🐓🥚

Charlotte is 8 years old and honestly the whole reason we even have chickens in our backyard. At just 7 years old, she came up with the idea to use her own money to buy chickens so she could sell fresh eggs. Most kids ask for toys… Charlotte asked for a business plan. 😂

This year is also her first year in Clover Buds with the same 4-H group as her big sister, the “Busy Beavers” 🦫. She also started softball for the very first time this spring and has absolutely loved it.

Charlotte is our wild one. She makes everything funny, keeps everyone laughing, and somehow has the personality of a tiny grandma mixed with complete chaos. She’s truly an old soul.

This page is going to be part of her Clover Bud project for the fair this summer, and she’s so excited to share our chickens, eggs, and little farm adventures with everyone. 💜

🐴 Tinzley Mae | The Wild One

Tinzley Mae is 13 years old and full of energy, determination, and heart. She proudly serves as President of her 4-H group, “Busy Beavers”🦫, where her love for agriculture and leadership shines bright. She’s also a cheerleader for the Southern Tornados Jr High, bringing the same spirit and dedication to the sidelines that she does to everything else in life.

When she’s not busy with 4-H or cheering, you’ll usually find her working with her turkeys for the fair or spending time with her horses — especially Lindsey, her yearling, who she plans to train in lunge line and showmanship.

Tinzley has a love for animals that runs deep, from horses and turkeys to the chickens here at Mayhem & Mischief Handmade. Most days, she’s outside soaking up the sunshine, hanging out on the trampoline with our chickens, and adding a little extra laughter and chaos to our homestead life. 🤍

Welcome to our little corner of mayhem. We’re a blended family raising chickens, growing gardens, creating handmade goods, and making memories somewhere between the chaos and the comfort of home.

From fresh eggs and muddy boots to crafts, wildflowers, and everyday adventures, this is real-life homestead living — imperfect, busy, loud, loving, and handmade along the way.

Around here, the kids help in the garden, the chickens run the yard, and there’s always a project happening. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
