Here is our 30x60 pavilion and wash pack station. It is situated between the 2 gardens, and will seat about 100 people using folding tables and chairs which can be stored out of the way for open pavilion opportunities. The picnic tables will eventually be placed outside for different seating options.
This solves our need for a better place to wash, dry, pack and store fresh vegetables from our outdoor garden and green house, along with a need for a communal place for community work groups to eat, socialize, and get out of the sun, is solved.
We envision many uses for this space including on farm events, birthday parties, rental opportunities, other celebrations, and educational opportunities using a tv and pull down projector screen (to be installed). We see movie nights and super bowl parties in our future.
With the tables put away, we can hold different exercise classes, co****le or kids games in the shade, or have little bands with food trucks for a community Friday or Saturday night.
We want to thank everyone who helped make this happen through our Go Fund Me and other donation methods.
We also want to thank the University of Mount Olive AgPrime and the NC To***co Trust Fund Commision for the grant to purchase all new equipment for the wash pack station. We continue to be blessed, God is good!
There is finishing work that needs to be completed, but we are excited for all of the new opportunities it opens up for us and the community.
