The pastures were getting stalky…hubby brought out the big boy to get it cut. Hopefully we can overseed when it cools off a little.

Trying to keep them cool in this heat has been so stressful. I gave up on clean, well groomed cows until after this heat passes. They lay in the mud to stay cool.

The feels like temps this week have been 107+
Heat Stress in my very pregnant heifer. Someone tell summer we are in the “Ber” months now. Totally over it. I’d rather put on my coveralls any day.

We literally planted fescue in all pastures and Bermuda in the bottom pasture. Not a blade of fescue showing on my app🤦🏻‍♀️Hubby is bushhogging this evening because it was so stalky. Guess we will make a plan to overseed this Fall. Thoughts on best grass for all year? Winter?

Priceless…my husband was doing water checks and turning the fans on and they came running. Pumpkin was out front because that girl loves her fan.
