HERE WE GROW AGAIN! 🤠

August 2026 has been a big month for Silver Spur Ranch LLC!

We’re excited to share that we have acquired an additional 1,700 acres through two separate acquisitions. These new properties adjoin our existing ranch land in Denton and Cooke Counties, further expanding and connecting our footprint in North Texas to 4,500 acres.

We’re incredibly excited about what these additions mean for the future of SSR. There’s plenty of work ahead, but that’s part of what we love—improving the land, expanding our cattle operation, and continuing to build on the vision we have for Silver Spur Ranch.

Exciting things are happening at SSR! ❤️🐂🌾

What a peaceful morning on Silver Spur Ranch as some of our Red Angus, Red Brangus, and Ultrareds rotate to a different pasture.

It’s still blazing hot during the day, but the mornings this week have a different feel on the ranch. There’s just a hint of change in the air…fall is around the corner. 🍂

And be sure to watch the video until the end—the cowboy shadow is an added bonus and might just be our favorite part. 🤠

Paul Quin, our ranch manager, is truly the best of the best. We are so blessed to have him as a leader on our team. Thanks, Paul, for capturing such a beautiful morning on SSR and sharing this video. ❤️

One of our Fall 2025 heifers, SSR Nighttime Beretta 426N, seems to have a favorite place to hang out…right INSIDE the middle of the hay ring! 😂

And let’s just say—she is not a dainty girl! How she manages to get herself in there…and, more importantly, back out again—is a bit of a mystery. 🤷‍♀️

That look as she glances up and back at the camera is absolutely priceless. Apparently, she sees nothing unusual about the situation!

Miss SSR Nighttime Beretta 426N is one of our own Ultrared heifers, sired by our Red Brangus bull Bobby Filet 844K, and out of one of our Red Angus mommas, Jeffries Ms Day E703.

Happy Birthday Dawson Hawkins! 🎉 Hopefully spending your birthday on Silver Spur Ranch makes the day even more memorable.

Dawson joined the SSR team in late May and will be with us throughout the summer and fall while completing the required internship hours towards his M.S. in Ranch Management through the Dept of National Resources Management at Texas Tech University.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Dawson as part of the SSR family. His enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump into every task have already made him a valued member of our team.

Dawson, wishing you a fantastic birthday and a year filled with success, adventure, and plenty of great ranch experiences.
