FARM UPDATE — Sapling Farms will be taking a break from most markets due to damage from severe weather!
This past weekend, our farm suffered from a farm fire after being struck by lightning, as well as strong winds, hail, rain, and a tornado all on the same night.
Unfortunately, these events completely destroyed our current and future fall crops. We were looking forward to an abundant fall harvest, but the hail damage took a large toll on all our field crops.
We are worried about it being too late in the season to replant due to potential freezes, but we will be trying to grow as much as we can in the greenhouses to have some produce to offer.
We will be putting a pause on our attendance at the following farmers markets: Robson Ranch, Cowtown, Clearfork, & Coppell. However, we will still offer eggs, canned items, honey, and whatever seasonal produce is left from the weather damage through the end of October at the Denton Community Market on Saturdays and the Flower Mound Farmers Market on Sundays.
