We came home with 6 and it's been nothing but chicken math since! We specialize in blue/green eggs, silkies, and d'Uccle chickens! For the olive eggers we have combined genetics from breeders across the country to offer you various beautiful egg and feather colors! For the silkies we are working hard to bring you a variety of unique feathering patterns and colors, and as much fluff as possible in these sweet chickens.

🌱 One of my favorite homesteading principles: use what you have to get what you need.

Instead of hauling away used chicken bedding, I’m experimenting by using it to smother unwanted grass around the garden. As it breaks down, I’m hoping it builds healthier soil and turns a problem into a resource.

Little by little, we learn to steward what we’ve been given. 💚

I’ve felt strongly about regenerative agriculture and permaculture ever since I first learned about them a few years ago. 🌱🌎

This reel only shows a small piece of the little patch of land we’ve been building up at our home, but I’ll be sharing more soon.

The idea is actually pretty simple: work with nature instead of against it. Build healthy soil, encourage biodiversity, and create systems that support and regenerate themselves over time using natural science and practical wisdom.

You don’t need hundreds of acres to make a difference. Even if all you have is a small backyard, a few containers, or a tiny corner of your property, you can grow food, nurture your soil, support pollinators, and leave the land a little better than you found it.

I hope you’ll consider rethinking the way we approach agriculture and explore what it might look like to grow what you can while building up the life beneath your feet.
