Orange County Brewers Guild is an organization dedicated to educating the public of the great American tradition of craft beer and its rich brewing culture in Orange County. With over 35 established craft breweries within the county’s borders, the OC Brewers Guild strives to bring to the public visibility and knowledge of the rich and constantly growing brewing culture present in Orange County. Es

tablished in early 2015, the guild aims to:

Educate the public of the benefits of fresh, local beer
Promote the interests of breweries located within Orange County
Participate in and create local community events to raise funds for charities and increase public awareness of locally available craft beer
As the organization continues to develop and expand, it hopes to cultivate a passion for craft beer in the general community and inspire the public to seek out their local artisan breweries.

Friday, October 30, 2026, OC Brewers Mash returns to the Heritage Museum of Orange County in Santa Ana for an unforgettable evening of exceptional craft beer, costumes, and SPOOKTACULAR fun.

Go “trick-or-treating” from one decorated booth to the next as you sample the crème de la crème of local craft beer, including exclusive spooky seasonal and specialty releases you won’t find anywhere else.

Beer Sensory and Flavor Recognition 
Tuesday, August 4, 2026 7pm-9pm

Develop your beer knowledge. Familiarization with common beer off flavors is an important key of beer education. Learn the basics of tasting beer, off flavors that arise in beer, and how to identify them. Test your senses with a blind tasting!

Advanced Cicerone®️ Charlie Perez will host this interactive workshop. We’ll go over six (6) common off flavors.


This is a good opportunity to learn more about beer and sharpen your senses. Geared toward professional beer industry members, home-brewers, and beer enthusiasts.

Afterwards, stick around and mingle with the class.

$15 for OCBG Members 
$25 for non-members

🍻 A huge thank you to 1886 Brewing Co. for hosting the July OCBG Brewery Member Meeting!

Members enjoyed an interactive workshop, “Mexican-Style Lager Showcase: Blind Judging Techniques,” led by Advanced Cicerone ® Charlie Perez. The hands-on blind tasting provided valuable insights into evaluating Mexican-style lagers while encouraging discussion.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this month’s meeting such a success!

Special thanks to 1886 Brewing Co. for the incredible hospitality (shout out Jeanae, Ashley, and Bethany) and to Charlie Perez for sharing his knowledge and making the workshop both educational and fun.
