Orange County Brewers Guild The Official Orange County Brewers Guild

Orange County Brewers Guild is an organization dedicated to educating the public of the great American tradition of craft b**r and its rich brewing culture in Orange County. With over 35 established craft breweries within the county’s borders, the OC Brewers Guild strives to bring to the public visibility and knowledge of the rich and constantly growing brewing culture present in Orange County. Established in early 2015, the guild aims to:

Educate the public of the benefits of fresh, local b**r
Promote the interests of breweries located within Orange County
Participate in and create local community events to raise funds for charities and increase public awareness of locally available craft b**r
As the organization continues to develop and expand, it hopes to cultivate a passion for craft b**r in the general community and inspire the public to seek out their local artisan breweries.

Congratulations to all the Great American B**r Festival® 2026 Winners!  Presented by the Brewers Association (BA), the Great American B**r Festival (GABF) competition is the nation’s largest professional b**r competition and the premier symbol of brewing excellence. This year, The Great American B**r Festival competition analyzed 7,267 entries over three days thanks to a panel of 225 professional judges and over 200 volunteers.   The 2026 competition received entires from 1,300 brewers & cideries from 49 states, including Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.  

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, a total of 243 breweries and cideries took home 336 medals in this year’s Great American B**r Festival competition. 80 breweries from California were awarded medals. Five medals were to awarded breweries based in Orange County.

🥉 Pazifik Coast Highway by Beachwood Huntington Beach won German-Style Pilsener
🥉Zombi Shark Fight by Green Cheek Costa Mesa won Italian-Style Pilsener
🥉Chance Favors The Prepared Mind by Green Cheek Orange won Imperial India Pale Ale

Develop your b**r knowledge. Familiarization with common b**r off flavors is an important key of b**r education. Learn the basics of tasting b**r, off flavors that arise in b**r, and how to identify them. Test your senses with a blind tasting!

Advanced Cicerone®️ Charlie Perez will host this interactive workshop. We’ll go over six (6) common off flavors.


This is a good opportunity to learn more about b**r and sharpen your senses. Geared toward professional b**r industry members, home-brewers, and b**r enthusiasts.

Afterwards, stick around and mingle with the class.

$15 for OCBG Members 
$25 for non-members

🍻 A huge thank you to 1886 Brewing Co. for hosting the July OCBG Brewery Member Meeting!

Members enjoyed an interactive workshop, “Mexican-Style L***r Showcase: Blind Judging Techniques,” led by Advanced Cicerone ® Charlie Perez. The hands-on blind tasting provided valuable insights into evaluating Mexican-style la**rs while encouraging discussion.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this month’s meeting such a success!

Special thanks to 1886 Brewing Co. for the incredible hospitality (shout out Jeanae, Ashley, and Bethany) and to Charlie Perez for sharing his knowledge and making the workshop both educational and fun.
