Meet Our 2026 Harvest Intern Conner! 🍇
Where are you from Conner?
— I was raised in San Diego, but I’m very happy to be up here in Santa Barbara!
How did you find an interest in wine?
— From a young age I’ve been surrounded by wine due to my parents being really into it. When I was little I went with them to a trip up to Napa and was amazed by the endless rows of grapes and the grand size of the wineries they brought me along to. I’d say that’s what initially sparked my interest in wine.
What’s your favorite Varietal?
— I love a nice crisp and minerally white wine, whether it’s a Chardonnay from Santa Rita Hills or a Roussanne from Ballard Canyon. When it comes to red, I love the simplicity of a Pinot Noir but I also enjoy the complexity of a good Syrah, it’s tough to say!
What are you excited to learn at Jaffurs/ during harvest?
— With this being my first harvest, I’m really looking forward to being completely exposed to what a full harvest looks like. I’m excited to process the tons of grapes as they arrive to the winery, I can’t wait to help monitor the fermentation process, and of course I look forward to working and learning from the Jaffurs team!
Fun fact about yourself is…A fun fact about me is that I rowed in college and raced on the River Thames in London while on a year abroad.
Conner has already been helpful with recent bottlings and inquisitive at a recent vineyard check up. Help us give him a welcome to the Jaffurs Harvest 2026 team. Harvest will be here before we know it!
