Loubud Wines is a one-of-a-kind sparkling & puzzle company that just opened its doors in downtown Santa Barbara December 2024. Paul hand cuts custom wooden jigsaw puzzles and Laura produces high quality sparkling wines in the traditional method (think Champagne but all from Santa Barbara grapes).

We’re making a pit stop for 40 years of the Indy🥂🧩

This Saturday, we’re joining the Santa Barbara Independent’s INDY40 Fest as an official Pit Stop Partner - and naturally, we’re celebrating with bubbles & puzzles.

Paul created a special INDY40 puzzle just for the occasion, featuring the incredible anniversary artwork. We’ll have a smaller version out in the tasting room all weekend for you to help piece together, plus Paul created a nearly 300-piece version as a gift for the Indy team. 🧩

And because you can’t celebrate 40 years without popping a bottle… Laura will be giving a live sparkling wine sabering demo at 2pm on Saturday! ⚔️🍾

The sparkle of summer has arrived! ✨☀️

Introducing our 2023 Brut Cuvée, a traditional method sparkling wine crafted from 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay from Peake Ranch in the Sta. Rita Hills.

Long afternoons, golden evenings, backyard dinners, beach picnics, and reasons to celebrate - this Cuvée made for all of it.

After 24 months en tirage, this wine opens with enticing aromas of toasted cashew, grilled lemon, and Pink Lady apple, unfolding into layers of stone fruit and lemon preserves. Rich yet vibrant, with remarkable depth and finesse, it’s equally at home marking life’s biggest celebrations or turning an ordinary summer evening into something special.

With only 100 cases produced, this limited release won’t be around for long.

A month ago today we tirage bottled our v2025 sparkling wines. 🍾

This is one of our favorite times at the winery because we get to bring family and friends into the fold to help us bottle (+ eat and drink well afterwards!) 🤗 You can never have too many helping hands on bottling day!

In sparkling wine production this is also an important process where the secondary fermentation begins and completes in the bottle under a crown cap. While fermentation only takes ~1 month to complete in bottle, we then continue to age our sparklings for 2+ years to gain complexity, balance and toasty notes; just like the Champagne greats.

So the next time you’re enjoying a glass of our sparkling wine on the patio, take a closer look at those beautiful bubbles🥂 Each bubble originated in the very bottle it was opened from and was expertly crafted by our winemaker, Laura.
