Welcome to Gilded Pearl Catering Company. 🤍 gildedpearlcateringco

Some of you know us as Miches & Ceviches, and some of you are just finding us. We’re so happy you’re here.

As we turn our focus to catering and private events, we’re giving our business a new name that reflects where we’re headed. The same people, heart, and love for bringing everyone together around good food—now entering a new chapter.

A pearl carries a little piece of the sea with it, just as we’ll always carry our beginnings as Miches & Ceviches. It also reminds us that something beautiful takes time to grow. This new chapter holds years of hard work, lessons, and the trust of everyone who has welcomed our food into their lives.

“Gilded” means touched with gold. To us, that gold is in the moments we get to be part of: a table filled with family, a celebration you’ve waited for, a meal that makes someone feel cared for. Gilded Pearl represents the thought and love we want to bring to those moments.

Follow along as we make the transition from Miches & Ceviches to Gilded Pearl. We’re excited to share our food, our work, and everything taking shape behind the scenes.

A BITTERSWEET UPDATE🥲

I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts for the last week, and I know I can’t put it off any longer.

After a lot of thought, Sergio and I have made the difficult decision not to renew the lease at our Capitola location on 41st Avenue. Our last day operating from this location will be at the end of September.

This decision has been incredibly emotional for us because this location—and Miches & Ceviches as a whole—means so much to our family. Our journey has honestly been crazy. We started from home, moved into a food truck, and eventually opened this location. With every step we’ve taken, we’ve tried to evolve, grow, and make the decisions we believe are best for our family and our business.

This location has been such a beautiful blessing. We’ve met so many amazing people, welcomed customers from all over, and created memories we will carry with us forever. We are beyond grateful to every person who has visited us, supported us, shared our food, and allowed us to be part of their celebrations.

For now, we’re ready to take a different path and focus more of our energy on growing our catering and events business. Eventually, we hope to find a new home that allows us to expand our menu, serve alcohol, and have the full kitchen and hood we need to continue growing.

This is not goodbye—it’s simply a transition into the next chapter of our journey.

We would love for you to come visit and support us during our final weeks in Capitola. We’ll be here through the end of September, serving you with the same love and gratitude we always have.

A little temporary update for our Miches & Ceviches family 🌶️🍤

Effective immediately through June 1st, we’ll be adjusting our hours and will now be open:

Thursday–Sunday 11 AM – 7 PM

Closed Monday–Wednesday

We truly appreciate everyone’s continued support, understanding, and love while we make this temporary adjustment. 💛

AND don’t worry — we’ll still be hanging out at Friday evenings at Buena Vista Brewery 🍻🌮 Stay tuned for upcoming dates and updates!
