More New babies!
Our lop, smudgie bunny, had four precious babies five days ago and I had to get her new digs finished before they start moving around too much!
In the summer we move our breeding pairs out into the chicken coops. A coop for each pair of bunnies so they can have plenty of room to run around and still have their private area to be safe or get away for some privacy!
By putting their hutches in the coop, it gives another layer of security as well as a nice place for the moms to keep their babies upstairs tucked away safe until they start moving around more.
I finally finished the hut for smudge and spot today; they live in the buff Orpington coop with all the buffies🥰
These babies will be ready for new homes in about seven weeks 😍
*as soon as I stopped the video I made sure that baby got under her for dinner too😎

An update on baby goose and the baby ducks they are growing like little weeds and are a beautiful sight to see out on the pond every day😍

Homesteading is not perfect lettuce beds, beautiful perfect four plank fences and cute clean egg aprons!
It’s fixing a fence with whatever twine or wire you have on hand; making a temporary wall with an old pallet and using every scrap and discarded thing to find a secondary purpose.
It’s being frugal and working smarter, not harder. It’s getting dirty and sweaty and smelling like no telling what! It’s getting back to basics and learning to survive and thrive with systems our grandparents used😍

Babies on the pond🥰
I’m still only letting them out for a few minutes every morning while i can supervise. I will continue to do this until they get a little bigger🪿

Baby goose and ducklings have spent a few days in the coop bonding with daddy goose/Aflac and today is their first day venturing out🥰
