This morning’s harvest. All grown with absolutely no herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilizers at all. Just the way the Good Lord intended them to grow. In order to harvest large amounts of vegetables we plant something almost every day. Sometimes just a few plants a day and at other times we may plant out 200 plus plants at a time. We start about 99% of our plants from seed and at times we may have upwards of 1500 seedlings waiting to be planted out. Many of these plants will never mature for one reason or another. Some will die off in the pots and some will die off shortly after being transplanted while others will struggle to grow and never produce anything. But by sprouting hundreds of plants we can pick the strongest and healthiest seedlings in order to increase the odds that the plant will thrive and produce. Starting your own seeds is really not hard and it is much cheaper than purchasing transplants especially if you are trying to grow large amounts of produce. Jeremiah 29:5

We make our own compost and mulch our garden beds with grass and w**d clippings. We do have a video up on YouTube showing how we built our garden beds and another showing how the soil has transformed from hard clay to the rich crumbly soil that we have now. We let our plants go to seed so that we can harvest our seed for the next growing season. The honey bees really like it and it allows them to find our garden. If you turn your volume up you can hear them.
