šŸ· We’re thrilled to welcome Pomum Cellars to this year’s Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta, making their Fiesta debut.šŸ·ā

Owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Javier and Shylah Alfonso, Pomum Cellars is rooted in a remarkable journey that began in Spain’s Ribera del Duero region and continued in Washington State. Winemaker Javier Alfonso, originally trained in aeronautical engineering, arrived in Washington in 1995 where he met Shylah at the University of Washington—and together they built both a life and a shared passion for wine.

Since their first commercial vintage in 2004, Pomum has focused on expressing the character of Washington’s unique vineyards with precision and depth. In 2009, they expanded their vision with their sister project, Vinateria Idilico, highlighting Spanish varietals that honor Javier’s roots.

We’re thrilled to have them join us in Santa Fe and share their story, craft, and wines with our community. šŸ·

šŸ· We’re excited to welcome Three Sticks Wines to this year’s Fiesta šŸŽ‰ā

Based in Sonoma County, Three Sticks is a small-production winery focused on site-driven Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that reflect the unique character of each vineyard. Their style is all about balance and purity, with wines that are expressive, polished, and made to pair beautifully with food.

The winery was founded by Bill Price, a longtime Sonoma grower and visionary in the region, and takes its name from his favorite surfboard. That mix of deep agricultural roots and a free-spirited creative energy runs through everything they do. From farming to winemaking, there is a strong focus on detail, sustainability, and letting each vineyard speak for itself.

They also host a spring gathering at Durell Vineyard on Saturday, May 2nd from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, featuring new Chardonnay and Pinot Noir releases, lunch from Napa Valley Lobster Co., and live music by Jessica Malone. It’s a relaxed day in the vineyard celebrating the season’s first releases.

šŸ„‚ We're excited to announce this year's Artist of the Year: Jim JenningsšŸŽØ

Jim Jennings, our Artist of the Year, is celebrated for his evocative landscapes of the American Southwest. Based in Santa Fe for the past three decades, his work is deeply shaped by the region’s expansive skies and high desert terrain. Jennings is known for his large-scale, surreal cloudscapes, often featuring chamisa and the occasional rabbit that blend realism with a dreamlike sense of atmosphere.

He earned his BFA in Graphic Arts from North Texas State University and spent over twenty years as a graphic artist before turning his full focus to oil painting. Influenced by artists like Maynard Dixon, Victor Higgins, Robert Daughters, and Vincent van Gogh, Jennings has exhibited at Acosta-Strong Fine Art in Santa Fe for more than a decade.

This year, he is creating the Fiesta’s featured artwork, set to be unveiled in early summer and showcased across official posters and SFWCF merchandise. Be sure to visit our retail store or shop online this summer to explore the collection.

You can find Jim Jennings signing posters at the following SFWCF events:
