Harvest is officially underway at Riverbench 🍇

We kicked things off July 17 with a small pick of Pinot Meunier for an outside sparkling program, followed by our first Riverbench harvest on July 28 with Wente Clone Chardonnay and Pommard Clone Pinot Noir, nearly 40 days earlier than the 2025 season.

We’re moving quickly through the vineyard. Pinot Noir is nearly 75% complete, with harvest expected to wrap by the end of the week. Chardonnay is 80% complete, with the remaining fruit coming from the 50+ year-old vines surrounding the tasting room. These historic vines are notorious for lagging behind, so we expect to harvest them in the next 2–3 weeks.

An early, fast-moving vintage is taking shape. We can’t wait to see what this season brings.

Available exclusively at our Santa Maria Vineyard Tasting Room for $25 per bouquet. Wine Club members receive their club discount.

We had the sweetest visitors at Riverbench this week! Eve and Tug spent the day exploring the garden and soaking up the sunshine. We love welcoming our furry friends to the estate and these two definitely stole the show.

From tiny sprouts to future blooms 🌱

Our flower farm is officially sprouting, and every day brings a little more color and excitement to the estate. We can’t wait to welcome you for our very first U-Pick experience this fall, along with special events, fresh-cut flowers, and plenty of unforgettable moments surrounded by the beauty of wine country.

Spring is showing off beautifully at Riverbench Vineyard & Winery. The vineyard is lush, and the growing season is moving right along.

In the vineyard, we’re beginning to see bunch closure across our various Pinot Noir and Chardonnay clones. This is an exciting milestone that signals healthy development in the vines. Our crews have also started hand leafing in the Chardonnay blocks, carefully opening the canopies to encourage better sunlight exposure and increased airflow throughout the fruit zone.

Every detail in the vineyard plays a role in crafting the wines to come, and spring is one of the most exciting times to watch it all unfold.
