What is your favorite season at the farmers markets?
We love eating with the seasons and discovering the changes that they bring each week in the exceptional bounty of the market. In spring it's peas, fava beans, ranunculus, spring garlic and cherries. In summer we swoon over juicy peaches, apricots, melons, summer squash, corn, field ripened tomatoes and spicy peppers. Come fall we are ready for the hearty pumpkins, pomegranates, figs, persimmons, avocados and sunflowers. Then we are all about citrus and leafy greens in the winter for a serious immune system boost.
Join us tomorrow and discover what's in season this week at the Santa Monica Farmers Markets. Share your bounty by tagging us with your market haul . Thank you for masking up as masks are still required - vaccinated or not.

The rumors are true! Jay Scott of and Troy Regier of are both back tomorrow to kick off the summer peach season!
All health requirements remain the same, so please mask up, grab your shopping bags and come on down! For your convenience, 90 minutes of free parking is available in the adjacent City parking structures and all accept EBT/Food Stamps, cash, and some vendors can also take electronic forms of payment.

Wouldn't you agree that California grown produce is the BEST?
Come discover what's in season at one of our three weekend farmers markets. Cherries have returned and lilacs abound. Garcia Organic Farms is nearing the end of their season, so be sure to grab some of your favorite citrus. Summer fruit is on the horizon so come back each weekend to discover what's new.
Masks and social distancing are still required, vaccinated or not.

National Volunteer Week
In the last year, volunteers have donated nearly 9,000 hours of their time to keep the markets running. We've scheduled over 2500 volunteer shifts and seen an increased need for volunteers of 500% to facilitate a safe market experience for our customers and farmers alike.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life with something unique to contribute to our team. Perhaps you have been thinking about volunteering but putting it off...well now is the time because it's National Volunteer Week! So don't delay and visit the link in our bio to join today!
"During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the millions of Americans who volunteer and encourage more to follow their path. Every American has something to give. No matter your age, background, or where you come from, you can have an impact through service. Vice President Harris and I salute every American who takes time to help their neighbors, and we applaud the extraordinary faith-based, nonprofit, national service, military service, and community organizations that make this service possible." - President Joe Biden (A Proclamation on National Volunteer Week, 2021)
