The Bikini Bakery is inspired by my own story and love for cupcakes. I’m a health conscious person...but I really really like sweets. Since I can remember, I have been testing my various recipes in my own kitchen all the while dreaming of a day when I could share my yummy treats. Every time I ate a cupcake from all the fabulous bake shops in Los Angeles, I felt guilt wash over me. The cupcake woul
d sit in my stomach and wouldn't budge all day. I wanted to be able to satisfy my sweet tooth without feeling unhealthy and completely ruining my diet. I also know that eating a healthier dessert that doesn't have the same taste and texture of a regular cupcake will not satisfy my sweet tooth. Thus, I decided to execute my true passion: alternative, healthy baking because not only am I a realist but I love sweets. I started with cupcakes and wanted to be able to reduce the fat and calories in these sweet treats naturally while still keeping the texture and flavor of the cake and frosting. After a lot of testing and tasting, I have come up with my recipe for avocado cupcakes. These are made with avocado giving the cake a moist texture, reducing the saturated fat and are composed of health promoting monounsaturated fat. I have also come up with bikini friendly frostings that have the same taste and texture of full fat frosting. The frosting is partly made with tofu but you would never know. Every cupcake is made using the finest quality and freshest ingredients.
