I’m returning to my very first Pinot Noir source—the incredible Forchini Vineyards in the Russian River Valley. But this time, we’re doing things a little differently. I’m working with the Pommard clone, and I can’t wait to see what kind of magic I can make with these grapes.

Big News from McCarter Cellars! 🍷✨ I am absolutely thrilled to share that my upcoming 2025 pink•ish Rosé of Pinot Noir just took home some major honors at the Experience Rosé International Wine Competition!
The results are in, and I couldn’t be prouder:
🏅 96 Points
🥇 Double Gold Medal
Here is what the judges had to say about it:
“Stunning notes; juicy tart cherries; floral, cherry blossom; marzipan”
When can you get a bottle? This award-winning Rosé is still resting up and is not yet available for sale. I want to make sure it is absolutely perfect before it hits your glass.

Today is a special day in wine history—and in my life.

May 24, 1976: The Judgment of Paris proved California wines belonged on the world stage.
May 24, 1980: I was born.

Looking back on my journey from home winemaker to award-winning vintner, I'm grateful for every moment. The craft, the community, the diversity work, the connections—it all matters.
