What do Zach Galifianakis, gardening, and agriculture have in common? More than you might think.

“Maybe we can get Galifiankakis to come visit some vineyards,” writes Virginie Boone.

In this week’s The Good Stuff, Boone explores Netflix’s surprising new series This Is a Gardening Show, where comedian Zach Galifianakis (best known for The Hangover) trades punchlines for planting tips, shining a spotlight on the people who grow our food and the joy that comes from getting your hands in the soil.

Part comedy, part farming lesson, and part love letter to agriculture, the series celebrates the beauty, humor, and humanity behind growing things — and reminds us why farmers matter.

From Piemonte to Sonoma County, Petrini believed that food and wine connect us to the land, our history, and one another.
