Our first fruit of the 2022 harvest, Sauvignon Blanc from the Beckstoffer Melrose Vineyard, is in. We pressed the 3.2 tons into a stainless steel tank to settle of the “gross lees” (a cool word for heavy sediment) for 48 hours. As the great Izzy Mandelbaum said, “it’s go time!”.
