HenHouse Brewing is STOKED to present the Jason Movrich & Mike Mulqueen from Playing the Dead, this Saturday, August 29th for this month’s Dead Saturday from 2-5pm!

Rooted in the heart of San Francisco’s storied musical landscape, Playing The Dead is more than just a tribute band—they are a living, breathing homage to the spirit of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia. Fusing improvisation, psychedelic textures, and heartfelt musicianship, the band captures the essence of The Dead’s legendary live shows while adding their own unique spark to every performance.

Formed by a collective of Bay Area musicians with deep reverence for The Dead’s catalog and countercultural ethos, Playing The Dead has quickly gained a loyal following throughout Northern California. Their shows are journeys—equal parts celebration and ceremony—where long-time Deadheads and new listeners alike gather to dance, connect, and relive the magic.

Whether lighting up a beloved Bay Area venue, an outdoor festival,  or a surprise pop-up jam, Playing The Dead delivers every show with the same adventurous spirit that made the Grateful Dead a phenomenon. For them, the music never stopped—it just evolved.

We double-dosed the hops for this double IPA version of our mind-bendingly bodacious
MK-ULTRA IPA! When you get the hops in your nose and that bood, bood, bravy all up in

JUICED! CHERRY LIME y’all!!

As we all know, our Juiced! beers are light and lovely, made with fun fruit purees that play perfectly with Juiced!’s refreshingly tart palate and low, 4.0% ABV.

You’ll taste a dash of sea salt that smooths things out and makes those fruity flavors pop even louder on your tongue! We brewed this batch of Juiced! with hundreds of pounds of cherry puree and lime puree!! The resulting brew bursts with tart fruitiness just like dropping a sour candy into a cold glass of Cherry 7-Up.

Last Saturdays are Dead Saturdays here in Novato y’all!
HenHouse Brewing is STOKED to present Gold Dead This Saturday, July 25th at 2pm for this month’s Dead Saturday!
Formed in the vibrant cultural backdrop of the San Francisco Bay Area in 1992, Gold Dead began as the Fillmore Brothers. Founded by siblings Connie and Myles McCarron along with Mark Fremont, the band set out to pay homage to the legends of rock and blues.
Gold Dead’s repertoire celebrates the music of the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and other icons like the Butterfield Blues Band, Janis Joplin, the Rolling Stones, The Doors, Moby Grape, and the Allman Brothers, blending it with their unique flavor of classic and country rock.
