Spring has sprung

As a third-generation fruit farmer, I've battled Mother Nature every year to save our peach crops from freezing out in our high-desert climate. Despite our best efforts, the stress led us to consider becoming pecan growers, which grow well in our area and are less susceptible to frost. We bought a small pecan orchard, but selling pecans in shell wasn't profitable due to large shellers who set the buying price. So we experimented with ways to add value and stumbled upon Nielsen Pecan Butter, which we offer at farmer's markets. People love it, and we're helping them stay healthy. Try it and go nuts for it!

Sometimes, like this pecan husk, we cling to our loved ones thinking that we can protect them, shelter them. But in the end, we have to let go, we have to let them fulfill the purpose they are in this world to fulfill. Thanks for letting me share an analogy from the pecan world.
