Landon Equestrian is proud to officially announce the commencement of construction on the "LEQ Arena", a new 45,000-square-foot, fully enclosed and air-conditioned equestrian and event facility coming to the Santa Ynez Valley in 2027.
The project moves forward following unanimous approval to build the facility last week, marking an exciting milestone in the continued growth of Landon Equestrian and its long-term vision for equestrian sport on Californiaโs Central Coast.
Designed for comfortable, year-round riding and training regardless of weather conditions, the LEQ Arena will provide Landon Equestrianโs horses, riders, trainers, and clients with an exceptional new facility for daily use. However, the vision behind the project extends far beyond Landon Equestrian itself.

One of the primary visions for the LEQ Arena is to create a premier West Coast venue for United States Team Penning Association (USTPA) competition.
Landon Equestrian plans to utilize the new facility to host monthly USTPA events, providing competitors with more opportunities to show while helping grow the sports of team penning and ranch sorting throughout California and the West Coast.
Creating a facility capable of supporting events at that level has been an important consideration in the vision for the project from the beginning.

The LEQ Arena is being designed as more than simply an indoor riding space.
Plans for the fully enclosed facility include tack rooms, cross ties, bathrooms, spectator viewing areas, sponsor banners and additional amenities intended to create a comfortable and professional environment for horses, competitors and spectators alike.
Screens throughout the arena will provide instant replays during competition, while also displaying event information and sponsor advertisements.
Together, these features are intended to create a modern event experience while providing sponsors and businesses with meaningful opportunities for visibility throughout LEQ-hosted competitions.

Monthly competitions have the potential to bring riders, trainers, families, spectators, sponsors, and vendors from throughout California and neighboring states into the Santa Ynez Valley.
With those visitors comes an opportunity to support hotels, restaurants, shops and other local businesses throughout Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and the surrounding communities.
As the size and reach of events at the LEQ Arena grow, Landon Equestrian hopes the facility can contribute to both the continued development of Western equestrian sport on the West Coast and the economic vitality of the communities surrounding it.
The LEQ Arena represents another major step in Landon Equestrianโs long-term vision for its Santa Ynez facility and its expanding breeding, training, sales, showing and events programs.
