Moon Monday

Month comes from moon.
Monday is Moon Day.

Yet our modern calendar has drifted far from this.

The Feral Calendar is a return to a cleaner pattern.

13 months.
28 days each.
4 weeks per month.
52 weeks per year.
One renewal day outside of time.

Every month begins on a Monday and ends on a Sunday.

Each cycle complete.

Beginning.
Middle.
Close.

Can you imagine if we actually lived like this?

Until this actually happens, aligning ourselves as best we can with the moon above is deeply supportive of our nature.

The next Return begins on the Gemini New Moon, June 14.

This is what we teach inside The Return: how to live in harmony with cycles that were always ours

Slow living Saturday

Yesterday the sun rose over Pacific Grove and I felt it in my whole body.

I jumped out of bed with a full-body yes.

This morning I woke to clouds.
Santa Ynez does this.

Almost every day.

That overcast feeling can remind me of my former life.

By 10 a.m. it will be gone, and I'll wonder why I ever doubted it.

But maybe it arrives so I can go deeper into my body.

After some cuddles, I made my lemon water and olive oil anyway.

Got on the rebounder outside anyway.

Cocoa mocha ritual, morning light, and then I'll head to my favorite dance class.

This is the practice of slow living.

Not the glorious mornings by the ocean.

The ordinary Saturday when nobody is watching.

The cloudy Saturday when the heaviness sits on your chest and you do the things anyway.

Not because you "should"

Because you love yourself enough to.

The sun is already there.

You just can't see it yet.

The next round of the return begins on the Gemini New Moon 6/14/26

sees the whole picture.

Our pantry collection is a doorway. Through ancestral food, people begin to reconnect with their bodies, their intuition, the cycles of nature, the wisdom that was never gone.

Food is where it starts.

It has always been about something bigger.

Feral Future is an invitation to return and to come home to yourself.

To a way of living that feels human again.

Grateful to be seen for the vision behind it.

What if your skincare routine looked like this?

Collagen.
Minerals.
Herbs.
Sunshine.

A Cocoa Mocha ritual in the morning sun with Feral Organic Maple Mallows.

Beauty is not a surface thing.

It's a reflection of how deeply nourished we are.

As we move into June, nature is approaching its fullest expression.

The days are longer. The light is stronger. Everything around us is growing.

Our bodies often feel this shift too.

You may notice more energy, but you may also notice fatigue, congestion, skin changes, irritability, digestive discomfort, or simply feeling a little off. We call this a light detox.

The body is incredibly intelligent.

What we often experience as symptoms are sometimes signals that the body is adapting, recalibrating, and working to restore balance.

This is why many traditional healing systems place such importance on supporting the body's natural pathways through nourishing foods, movement, herbs, hydration, rest, and time outdoors.

Not to force the body.

But to support what it is already trying to do.

The body is always seeking harmony.

Our job is to listen.

What Does It Mean When We Say Feral?

It is probably not what you think.

When we say feral, we are not talking about just wild animals, although we have adopted three rescue cats and love them dearly.

We are talking about the domesticated human returning to their natural, innate state.

And in many ways, that is what so many of us are longing for.

A return to our bodies and our intuition.

A return to the seasons, the moon, real ancestral food, community, craftsmanship, beauty, and a way of living that feels connected to what we actually are.

Modern domestication has pulled us far from our deepest instincts.

We have learned to override hunger, exhaustion, creativity, grief, joy, and the quiet wisdom of our own bodies.

Feral is about remembering what we have forgotten.

It has always been ours.

But to claim it back, we have to clear what got in the way.

The stories we inherited.

The beliefs we were handed and never questioned.

The projections we carried so long they started to feel true.

That work is not easy. It is, however, the most worthwhile thing there is.

Because what waits on the other side is heaven on earth.

And that has always been our birthright.

Slow Living Saturday πŸŒ•

What if nature was never asking us to do more, but simply reminding us when to expand and when to retreat?

As we approach this Sagittarius Full Moon, both mine and Erik's moon sign, I find myself more and more in awe of the cyclical nature of everything.

A Full Moon is the midpoint of the lunation cycle. A time of peaks, culminations, heightened fertility, creativity, and illumination.

Things that have been quietly growing and building become more visible.

And in just a few weeks, we arrive at the Summer Solstice, the point in the year where, in the Northern Hemisphere, we experience the greatest amount of light.

More energy, vitality and growth.
Life expressing itself in its fullness.

Nature is constantly showing us that life moves in cycles.

When we align ourselves with these celestial and seasonal rhythms, there is often more ease, more flow, and more grace.

We stop forcing and stop making the contractions wrong.

We allow expansion and retreat, fullness and emptiness, growth and rest to exist together.

We begin to trust what is.

Simply allowing things to be exactly as they are.

To me, that feels so delicious. Like a deep exhale.

I spent over four years searching for the perfect grass-fed marshmallow after learning about the incredible health and beauty benefits of gelatin.

I ordered so many of the "healthy" versions online, but there was always something I didn't love.

Preservatives, fillers, seed oils or ingredients I wouldn't keep in my own pantry or ever ingest.

One day I came home with all the ingredients and decided to make my own.

They were honestly terrible.

Thankfully Erik took over.

Now our Maple Mallows have become one of those little things that make everyday life a little more enjoyable.

We honestly don't go a day without them.

Made with grass-fed organic beef gelatin, organic maple syrup, vanilla bean paste, and our Full Spectrum Salt.

And yes, they are absolutely incredible melted into coffee, cocoa, tea, or any warm beverage.

When we created the Feral Foods Pantry, we built it around the products we use and love every day.

A pantry filled with thoughtfully sourced ingredients, beautiful daily rituals, and products that feel as good to use as they do to consume.

Each collection is color coded to bring a little more ease, beauty, and flow to the kitchen.

A pantry that feels intentional, organized, and inviting.

We're also deeply passionate about beauty and sustainability.

That's why we chose glass jars that can be reused again and again.

When you're ready for more, our Reserve sizes allow you to refill your favorite jars rather than throw them away.

From our teas and herbs to our salts, cocoa, and mallows, every detail is designed with nourishment, craftsmanship, beauty, and sustainability in mind.

A little behind the pantry products.

We'd love to know your favorite.

Hearing how these products become part of your daily rituals is one of our favorite parts of what we do.

And stay tuned.

We have lots of beautiful new things in store. I'm drinking one now πŸ˜‰
