Tej is a traditional Ethiopian sweet honey wine. Distinctive for using gesho - a shrub - that grows in Ethiopia as a bittering agent instead of Ethiopian hops to balance the sweetness. This special release is available to bottle club members **only**

Happy May Day!!

Did you know that May Day is a Celtic holiday?
May in Gaelic is: Bealtaine (pronounced BYAL-tuh-nuh)

It is from ancient Irish meaning "Bright Fire"

The tradition of the May Pole comes from this holiday. It is the first day of summer on the Celtic Calendar and full of traditions! Not the least of which is to leave a glass of MEAD outside for the fairies to gain their favor. You don't want on their bad side, for sure!

Luckily for you! We have your mead right here! Stop by pick up a bottle and share it with the fae folk and toast this most ancient and wonderful holiday.
