🚨 PSA FROM CAPTAIN FILTRATION 💧

As a Certified Water Specialist with 30 years of experience, I want to share something important with anyone considering a water treatment system.

If you see a water treatment system installed like the one in this picture — with a black fiberglass tank sitting directly in the Florida sun ☀️ — there are some serious concerns.

Over time, direct sunlight can deteriorate the fiberglass tank and its components. At the top of the tank, there is a small section of exposed polymer material where the control valve threads into the tank. That area needs to be protected from UV exposure. After years in the sun, it can become brittle, crack, and eventually leak.

☀️ And here’s something many homeowners don’t realize:
Direct sunlight can also cause the water inside a dark-colored tank to become extremely warm. Over the years, we have opened tanks during system removals and found algae growth and white slime associated with sulfur bacteria/algae inside the tank.

We’ve seen this firsthand many times in our 30 years in the water treatment industry.

If you or a friend is considering purchasing a water treatment system, make sure the tanks are properly protected from the Florida sun.

Manufacturers make quality weather covers and tank jackets specifically for this purpose. They help protect the equipment from UV exposure and extreme heat — and, quite honestly, they make the installation look much nicer too!

Friday, Todd installed our Hague Water Max and Hague 3500 Reverse Osmosis with re-mineralization.

This system provides excellent water for thru out the entire home. It removes the chlorimines (chlorine & ammonia) in addition to hardness, making the water excellent for bathing, showering, laundry, and dishes.

Our high output drinking systems work so nice. No need to have a separate Drinking faucet. We can use your existing faucet and add a hidden button.

We process the water through reverse osmosis, reducing all impurities to a Safe level and then we we have an option to add mineral back to the water to that raises t he pH and increase the alkalinity.
