The Tomahawk...The Steak With a Story (and a Handle) ๐ช
This isn't just a steak. It's a 6-8 inch bone, French-trimmed for show, cut straight from the rib primal between ribs 6 and 12.
The "handle" gives it that signature tomahawk axe look, and the name traces back to the Algonquian word "tamahรกkan," meaning cutting tool. Sitting above the longissimus dorsi (a muscle that barely works), this is why every bite melts.
Notable mention: Gordon Ramsay has called the Tomahawk one of the most theatrical cuts in the world.
No wonder it became the most Instagrammable cut in the butcher case. ๐ช๐ฅ
