Has kidded with success yearly and is a great mom! Unfortunately last spring she had a large doeling that was stuck and we ended up at Ohio State. Baby was pulled (doa).. Cinnamon came back in heat in the fall and was with our young buck but did not take to kid this spring. Could be just a fluke, younger buck or may no longer take 🤷‍♀️ OSU didn’t see any reason to not breed her when she was there. Priced with that in mind. She has always throw beautiful gold babies!!

Meet Spike .. from The Land Before Time 🦕.. he is the absolute sweetest little guy 🥹 he is polled and blue eyed and so stunning! Unfortunately, as the days passed I realized his little legs were not quite right and he just had something that was off about his look.

Friday we had his vet appointment and sure enough, this little guy has a few deformities. He has Triangular Leg Deformities (meaning his legs are bent a little different) and Parrot Mouth (meaning his upper jaw is longer than his lower jaw giving him an overbite). Our vet thinks his legs will self correct some as he continues to grow, they will never be 💯 but he doesn’t have any pain or discomfort with them as of now and they have changed daily! The bigger issue is his mouth. He is able to nurse fine but as he grows and begins to graze he may struggle with chewing. He doesn’t feel the parrot mouth is severe enough for him to be euthanized but as he ages that could be a possibility if he gets to a point where he physically cannot chew due to the jaw not touching like normal.

We both have high hopes for this little guy because he has not let it hold him back yet! He was born weighing 2.2 lbs and was up to 3.4lbs 7 days later!!

This little guy will more than likely stay here with us but if you feel your family would be a good fit for him reach out ☺️ I will be picky! I want the best for him and if that means him needing put down versus suffering as he ages then AT THAT TIME that’s what is best for him! Please keep that in mind 💙💔 Hopefully Spike thrives just fine being a little different 🥰
