🐄🎃 A QUICK FARM UPDATE! 🎃🐄

Y’all, this is hands-down our BUSIEST time of the year, and we’re doing our best to keep up with all the phone calls and messages! 😅 Between running the farm, keeping the store going, field trips, and our fall festival, it’s a little hard to answer everyone as quickly as we’d like!

One of the most common questions this morning has been, “Are y’all open today?”

🍦 Our FARM STORE is OPEN today from 1–6 PM!

🍂 Fall Fun on the Farm is NOT. It’s open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays only! Our festival activities are closed during the week.

We appreciate y’all being patient with us during this crazy, busy season! ❤️ We promise we aren’t ignoring anyone — we’re just busy keeping the cows milked, the ice cream scooped, and the farm running! 🐮🍦😂

Sorry we’ve been so slammed today and haven’t had a chance to get this post out sooner!

Tomorrow’s Homeschool Day field trip is still on schedule! 🙌🏻

As of right now, we are NOT canceling anything. Of course, if the weather makes it unsafe for us to have everyone out at the farm, we will have to make that call.

Please check Facebook for an updated post in the morning BEFORE heading to the farm. We will keep everyone updated as soon as we know more.

For now, we’re planning on seeing y’all TOMORROW! 🐄🌾☀️

🚨 IMPORTANT TICKET REMINDER 🚨

We’ve had several people asking about buying tickets from other people, so we want to make this very clear:

It’s hard for you to determine whether a ticket being resold is legitimate or a scam. If you choose to purchase a ticket from someone other than Green Acres, you are doing so at your own risk.

If that ticket does not scan into our system when you arrive, there is unfortunately nothing we can do. We cannot replace it, refund you, or allow you in based on a screenshot, receipt, or proof of payment to the person you purchased it from.

We know people’s plans change and sometimes tickets need to be passed along, but please be VERY careful when buying tickets from someone online. There are unfortunately scammers who will take advantage of sold-out events.

The only way to know for sure that you have a valid ticket is to purchase directly from us.

We hate for anyone to show up excited for a day on the farm only to find out their ticket isn’t valid. Please protect yourself and be careful who you send your money to! ❤️🐄

📚🐄 HOMESCHOOL DAY IS TOMORROW! 🐄📚

We are looking forward to welcoming all of our homeschool families tomorrow for a beautiful day on the farm! We can’t wait to see all those kiddos running around, learning about dairy life, making memories, and enjoying some good old-fashioned farm fun. 💚

TOMORROW’S HOMESCHOOL DAY IS ON! 🎉
We will NOT be rescheduling tomorrow’s homeschool day.

A quick reminder: Homeschool Day is a TICKET-ONLY event. 🎟️ Tickets are SOLD OUT, and we will not be selling tickets at the gate. If you do not already have a ticket, unfortunately we won’t be able to accommodate you tomorrow.

As for Friday’s Homeschool Day, we are going to wait and see what Mother Nature has in store for us. We will make a decision about Friday by 2 PM tomorrow, once we have more information about the storm.

As soon as that decision is made, we will post it right here on Facebook.

We don’t like to reschedule unless we absolutely have to, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that the weather cooperates! 🤞🏻

For now, we’re just excited about TOMORROW! ☀️🐄🌾

When they start talking about the possibility of a storm coming our way, we’re always on edge. With a dairy farm, there’s always a million “what ifs” running through your mind, and you immediately start thinking about the cows, the milk, the power, the barns… and what needs to be done to prepare.

But this one just feels different. 😔

We have worked SO hard getting ready for our fall season. Long days, late nights, money spent, things built, things painted, things cleaned, and so much time put into making everything ready for y’all. And we haven’t even gotten ONE full weekend open yet.

Now I’m sitting here watching the news and my mind is going a hundred different directions.

Thinking about having to pick everything up and clean everything up before anyone even got to enjoy it.

Thinking about the freezers packed FULL of homemade ice cream and food and what could happen if we lose power.

Thinking about all the things outside that could be damaged… and the possibility of things being damaged beyond repair.

And honestly, that’s hard to even think about.

I know there are people who have much bigger worries than ours, and we are incredibly thankful for what we have. But when you’ve poured your heart, time, and everything you have into something, it’s hard not to sit here and worry about it.

We’ll do what we can. We’ll prepare the best we can. And then we just have to pray and hope for the best. 🙏🏻

This evening, the nerves are definitely getting the best of us.

We’ve worked too hard for this fall season to be over before it even got started. 💔
