At the end of the day, this expansion wasn’t about adding hours or adding a menu. It was about creating a place our community could truly use.

A place where families can sit together after a ballgame.
A place for travelers passing through to take a breath instead of rushing on.
A place to slow down, relax, and enjoy a summer evening.

That’s why we created The Legacy at Jitters — to offer a comfortable, welcoming spot where people can gather, unwind, and feel at home. It’s about connection, not just coffee or food.

When I first reached out to Tom & Kathy, I had no idea if they were even thinking about selling Jitters Java Cafe. What I did know was that this place mattered — to them, to this community, and to everyone who has ever walked through the doors.

In that very first email, I told them my goal wasn’t to change what they built, but to honor it. To carry forward the heart, the hard work, and the community they poured into Jitters for over 20 years.

That’s why our evening concept is called The Legacy at Jitters.
Because everything we’re doing — the summer nights, the food, the atmosphere — is built on the foundation they created. It’s a continuation of their story, not a replacement.

Jitters Java Cafe is growing in a fun new way this summer.

☀️ By day: We’re your familiar Jitters Java Cafe — coffee, breakfast, lunch, and community.
🌙 By night (Thurs–Sun, May–Sept): Our space transforms into The Legacy at Jitters, serving beer, wine, flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, and snacks.

Same building. Same friendly faces.
Two unique experiences with their own hours and their own vibe.

We can’t wait to spend long summer evenings with you.
