Y’all. To most people these are just 3 little eggs, but to us they’re hope. They’re prayers that have gone up in some of the hardest seasons of the farm. They’re my 1st breeder quality silkie eggs & they made me tear up last night. 🥹

If you’re in the trenches, it does get better. If you’re praying for land, it does come. He’s listening & He is good. Always. ❤️

It’s the sneeze that scares me at the end for me. 😂

Our first goat born on the farm went to his forever home today & I couldn’t be more excited for him, but there’s still a twinge that will miss him for the first few days he’s gone.

Know what else we miss? The sun. We are definitely missing sunny days on the farm today.

One of the biggest controversies in the farm community about eggs - to wash or not to wash?

I will say it’s nice to see what colors they really are under the heavy blooms every once in a while!

Do I personally wash? Only if they’re super dirty as they’re literally being ready to be cooked.

What a beautiful sight!

My sweet Ellie lost her entire first litter in February & it hit us all to the core. Fast forward to this morning when I walked out the second litter were all GONE. I searched for well over 30 minutes. Seriously, no trace except for 1 injured piglet. This afternoon they’re banged up, but they’re here. We’re pretty sure a predator attempted to get them last night but what’s important is they’re HERE.
