Kingfisher Farm is an organic vegetable and fruit farm in Oneida County, NY. We sell at the Clinton and Utica Farmer's Markets and also through our CSA.

Great day catching the snow at Whetstone Gulf State Park, a gem. Maybe our last cross country chance of the winter…banking on an early spring, getting kale, spinach, onions, certain peppers started a couple weeks earlier than usual this year!

We are well stocked at the Oneida County Public Market 9-1 today. Beat the grey with green green fava and pea shoot microgreens. Carrots, daikon, parsnips, rutabaga, garlic! Certified organic local winter produce!

Pet Nat hard c***r from our organic c***r apples — super happy with this year’s batch! Pressed and pitched December 15, combo of Dabinet, Liberty, GoldRush, Grimes Golden, Wickson. Made a beautiful rustic c***r. Pet Nat is about as simple and clean a way to make hard c***r as there is. Start with quality apples and let the apples lead the way.

This Pet Nat is a 4 week fermentation that was bottled January 20 with an ounce of sweet c***r/bottle. At this point the c***r has a great small bubbles effervescence and lots of live flavor from the orchard: fresh, crisp, a little smokiness from the Dabinet.

Gotta love a big box of seed packets arriving in the mail on a cold winter day. Soon enough it’ll be time to roll the farm out again, seed by seed. We’re looking forward to and prepping now for another awesome farm season:

Latest we’ve ever harvested field kale! Got our plants down to nubs at this point. But we’re stocked with kale for a bit at the online store and

Finally got around to straining and bottling the last of the Fall honey! What a great first season beekeeping with 5 gallons tucked away. This is the finally-gonna-get-around-to-season for us! Next week, I’m starting the new greenhouse build.

Solstice fire! And today we’re harvesting kale and spinach…from the field! Days grow longer from here. Seed catalogs piled high!

We’ve got a ton of gorgeous late fall organic greens, apples, root crops, headed to the Oneida county Public market Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM. Our certified organic Florina apples are looking amazing and tasting even better. Mixed mustard greens cook just like broccoli Raab and give a shot of vitamins, here in the low light of December. The market will be filled with craft vendors, local pastured meats, bagels, bread, loads of gift ideas. See you there!

Last Oneida County Public market before Thanksgiving. We are loaded with all the usual stuff. I have some awesome pixie crunch, organic apples, first harvest from our orchard this year come on down nine to one hope to see you there.
