What is a bee package?

A bee package is a wood box (about the size of a shoebox) with metal mesh sides to transport bees.

You can purchase from a local apiary or via mail!

Most packages are sold as 3 lbs which equals about 10,000 bees.

The Queen bee will be in the package in her own little cage with a candy plug that the bees chew through to release her into the new hive.
