We got a lot of rain and that seemed to cause a domino effect of events to follow.
All the rain made for a perfect parasite bloom on the farm. This led to increased worm loads, one anemic goat kid, diarrhea in a few goats, which led to pink eye in a couple of goats and then upper respiratory problems with a couple other goats.
The last couple weeks have been a roller coaster but I’m thankful to finally have everything getting back to “normal” and to also have a local vet that sees livestock. This can make all the difference when dealing with issues like this.
