Starland Dairy

Starland Dairy Food, Drink, Coffee, Ice Cream, Books, Guesthouse Built in 1932, the Starland Dairy supplied milk to Savannah residents through the 1980s. Sometime in 2018.

Still a fixture in the neighborhood, it sits empty and abandoned, 30 years’ worth of art and graffiti coloring its iconic façade and tiled interiors. Hoping to preserve the many layers of the building’s history, and restore its position as a focal point and gathering place for the community.

Wallpaper!! We've been trying to find unique ways to capture and share the history of the Starland Dairy. Working with to create a custom wallpaper has been one of the most fun things we've done.

Artist used an assortment of old photos and scrapbook items to help inspire his illustrations. Note the graffiti overlay and terrazzo flakes in the background. Brilliant ✨

Now that has settled in to her new home downstairs (get over there if you haven't already!), we are shifting our focus to the next phase: 8 hotel rooms on the second floor, with a culinary bookstore in the original lobby of the building. Stay tuned!

We were really sad to paint over the murals on the facade of the building this past week. We waited as long as we could ... but because the Starland Dairy is a contributing building within an historic district, in order to open its doors to the public again, we are required to restore the original 1930s facade. But we plan on displaying public art again as soon as we can.

Thank you ._lu and for the work we have all enjoyed these past 5 years... also thanks to for the recent addition.

And don't worry!!! Everything on the inside is staying. More on that soon ✨
