🍔🐔 BETTER LATE THAN NEVER — SMASHBIRD IS HERE 🐔🍔

Smashbird had planned to be part of the Burger Bash lineup this year but just didn't quite make it in time — they officially opened on the South Side this week instead. Better late than never, because this one's a keeper.

Savannah's newest burger and chicken sandwich joint is already turning out some of the best traditional smash burgers in town.

🔸 Two 2oz patties, smashed and grilled crispy
🔸 Minced jalapeño available if you want the kick
🔸 Cheese, bacon, whatever you're into
🔸 Potato roll, sauce, pickles
🔸 Crinkle fries on the side

Thin, moist, crispy — exactly what a smash patty should be. The standard double is great, but next time it's a triple (still just 6oz of beef). A double and fries will run you under $10 before a drink. Run, don't walk.

Huge thanks to everyone that joined us the last two nights at our Dinner Series at Gather and Dwell on Wilmington Island. There was lots of shrimp, beans, flan and……a great time times two.

I’m humbled by how many of you travel to these dinners from the Lowcountry. Wilmington is neither easy nor convenient. We appreciate you all. Look forward to more down the road.

If there's an award for cheesiest burger of the Burger Bash, it's going straight to Big Cheese. Second place isn't even in the conversation.

Here's why:
