Hey y’all!

I am beyond honored and truly grateful to have been asked to cater my high school class reunion again this year!

I’m going to give it everything I’ve got because this one is personal. These are the people I grew up with, made memories with, laughed with, and shared some of the best years of my life with.

I feel so blessed that my class trusts me to be a part of such a special celebration and to help create even more memories through food, fun, friendship, and fellowship.

And y’all… we’re doing a FUN menu!, It’s going to be a Mardi Gras-inspired menu, so you already know we’re bringing those Louisiana flavors, a whole lot of personality, and plenty of good food to the party!

Class of 1980–1989, come on out and let’s have a blast.

I can’t wait to see y’all and celebrate the memories we made back then—and the memories we’re about to make now! ❤️

Class, I'm ready to SHOW OUT! 🎉🎺🔥

So my son came home and told me he has a project for his Forensic Science class on the O.J. Simpson trial.

I said, “Oh, I can do you one better!” 😂

You see, not only did I actually lived in Los Angeles during the time. I have pictures- from Nicole’s house, to O.J.’s house, Mezzaluna, and Rockingham.

So naturally, I pulled out the pictures and told him, “Here you go!” 📸😂

And then I gave him my own little piece of investigative information: My BFF and I actually drove from Nicole’s house to O.J.’s house, and it took us NINE MINUTES.

Just saying… 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

When your mama has firsthand memories, pictures, and a little bit of her own “investigative research,” you might as well use your resources! 😂

Lois Chronicles 101: Sunday Dinner Edition 😂❤️

My Sunday dinner went a little something like this…

So, I had a couple of Seafood Dressing orders on Saturday and decided to make a pan for us for Sunday dinner. The guys wanted Smothered Pork Chops, and I also made Green Beans.

Now, here comes the plot twist… 😂

Mom is allergic to crabmeat, so I had to figure out another side for her. And listen… I just didn’t have it in me to cook another whole dish! 😂

So, I decided to run over to Phat Girlz and get Mama some regular dressing. Well… looks like they had SOLD OUT of the regular dressing. 🤦🏾‍♀️

So I grabbed her some Mac & Cheese and Candied Yams — two of her favorites — and called it a day!

But let me tell y’all something about this 92-year-old woman… Mama has gotten REAL picky! 😂😂 She'll tell you in a minute, "I'm 92 i eat what I wanna eat".

And At this point, if it ain’t fried, she really ain’t interested.

So yes, I fried her pork chop. When I gave her the plate she started fussing and said, "That's too much food".

And BABYYYYYY… SHE DEVOURED IT! 😂🙌🏾

Not a crumb, not a piece of meat, NOTHING!

BIG ShOUT OUT to Willia Dukes at for saving the day. She loved it❤️❤️❤️

❤️

Other than working in my grandfather’s fields, running a restaurant has been the hardest gig I’ve ever had.

The late nights. The early mornings. The toll it takes on your body. Missing time with your family. Finding good help—and sometimes dealing with people who don’t have good intentions. The constant pressure, the overhead, the bills, and the endless sacrifices.

And after all of that, many restaurants are operating on a 5–10% profit margin.

That’s something people don’t always see.

It’s frustrating to watch someone come into town with the intention of hurting another small business. Because the truth is, most cooks and chefs don’t do this because they think they’re going to get rich. We do it because we love the craft. We love feeding people. We love creating something that brings people together.

I absolutely LOVE what I do, and I genuinely miss my customers.

Throughout my career, I’ve received some of the best reviews—and some of the worst. 😂 But here’s the thing I’ve learned:

Sometimes the review you think is going to destroy you becomes the very thing that pushes your business to another level.

One of my worst reviews resulted in some of the best numbers I had ever seen.

So, I’ll leave you with this:

What the devil meant for bad, God meant for good.

Every setback taught me something.
Every criticism made me stronger.
Every closed door pushed me toward another opportunity.

I may have stepped away from the restaurant, but I never stopped being a chef, a business owner, or someone who loves feeding people.

And trust me… I’m not done yet. ❤️🙏🏽
