When I said that my does were conspiring to keep having their kids at noon so that I keep re-entering the 24 hour cycle of feeding colostrum, I was mostly kidding (pun intended) but...now I'm having suspicions 🧐😆

Today, at noon, Candy gave us two doelings! I had to assist with the first one (right picture), because she is a big girl with a really big noggin! Luckily Candy managed the second one on her own, and gave some of the richest colostrum I have seen so far!

She’s still unsure of being on the stand so she’s standing a little awkwardly in this picture. I’m so proud of her though, she doesn’t step a foot out of place and is so easy to milk! Such a good girl 🥰

I think the does have conspired to keep a noon schedule for kidding. It feels a little like they want to just keep resetting my clock for bottle feeding every 2 hours for the first 24 hours 😅 It's fine, I'll sleep eventually!

Today we have triplets from Fancy! Two doelings and a buckling 🤩 anyone who I have talked to about Fancy before knows I have been wanting a doeling out of her in the worst way! I had originally not planned on breeding her again, she has a blown teat from getting stepped on when she was younger and it really bothered her last year, so I wanted to retire her. That plan went a little sideways this year since I turned Spock out with the does after a several negative pregnancy tests and a little bit of desperation. However, everything happens for a reason and now I have not just one, but two doelings I have been wishing for! Fancy will be dried off so she does not have to deal with her blown teat, and she can officially retire ❤️

Summer really did a copy and paste with this one! She kidded all by herself, we came out to find a mostly dry kid and already passing her placenta! She got on the milk stand for the first time and stood like a complete angel to get milked out, and gave us more than plenty of colostrum for this cutie!! So proud of her ❤️

Loretta has been having issues with a congested udder. She has been an absolute angel about letting me try to relieve the pressure, despite how uncomfortable she is!

I decided to order her a heated scalp massager and she didn’t totally hate it! Hopefully this in combination with the peppermint oil balm will help get everything flowing 🤞

Loretta got our Nubian herd kidding season underway this evening!

She delivered two bucklings. Unfortunately one of them has a pretty significant parrot mouth. We will be monitoring him to make sure he can nurse and eat!

These two will eventually be available to pet homes as wethers. If anyone is interested let me know!
