Man, you were our shortest love on this rescue journey went are on.

Big guy, you were SO SO SO strong. SO gentle. SO in love with apples!! 😆 Getting on the flat bed because you couldn't walk... taking an elevator ride in the tractor. Trying junk food. Standing still for 4-7 hours so we could pump you with liquids. Being the FIRST horse inside the SHOP!!! 😱😆
I wish I knew you for a lifetime. And I wish I got to love you for twice as long as that.
You were Nicole's Best Buddy Ever! She says so herself from the moment we laid eyes on you at the auction.

❤️‍🩹 For You ❤️‍🩹 Two horses' lives were forever transformed in incredible ways. Their futures were bright, but their journey took an unexpected life-changing turn. We may not know their story's details, but we're proud to have given them an unforgettable final chapter. The past two years have been a remarkable testament to the love and care they received. Solo has a wry nose which is a rare defect. 😊👃🐴 When Solo breathes in, his skin over his nostril gets sucked in making it almost impossible to get a full real breath in. 😥😰😩 He has a high resting heart rate due to this. 💔🩺🐴 Let's see if the nasal strips from FLAIR Equine Nasal Strips can give him some relief! 👍🙏🐴

Here's a reminder that senior horses are HARD.

Senior horses that can't keep weight on for any certain medial reason are even more HARD.

When we came home yesterday we saw a dark blob in the corner of the pasture. We frantically drove down to see what was going on.
It appeared that Spider had taken a fall and he was down for some time during the day.
After lots of snuggles, heat exchanging, kisses, love and lots of rocking back and forth trying to gain momentum.... oh, and of course dad's blanket cause who doesn't love and a familiar smell!

👏 SPIDER. 👏 GOT. 👏 UP. 👏

Boy, he is sure annoyed of the amount of kisses and hugs he has gotten over the last 20 hours!
